This educational estimate uses reaction distance plus braking distance. Road friction values are modeled as dry 0.8, wet 0.4, snow 0.2, and ice 0.1. Real stopping distance depends on tires, brakes, road surface, visibility, vehicle load, grade, and driver condition. The selected condition currently uses the dry road friction model.
